SAN JUAN, PUERTO RICO—The CivilAirPatrol National Cadet Competition is the highest echelon of competition for Civil Air Patrol Color Guards and Drill Teams including all 52 wings and 8 regions of the Civil Air Patrol. The National Cadet Competition (NCC) is typically rotated every two years to a new aerospace venue. The 2012 NCC will be held June 20th through June 25th in
Dayton, Ohio atWright State University.
The Dr. Cesareo Rosa Nieves Cadet Squadron (SER-PR-123) won the Southeast Region Cadet Competition this past weekend (March 16-18, 2012) at Maxwell Air Force Base Alabama.ThePuerto Rico Wing competed against other four teams from Georgia, Mississippi, Alabama andFlorida. Now they are going to represent the PRW and the SER at the upcoming National Cadet Competition.

The team won the FirstPlace in the following events: Inspection,Standard Drill, Indoor Practical Drill, Outdoor Practical Drill and Mile Run. Theteam also won a second place in the Written Exam and third place in the Panel Quiz.
